Wired

Kevin Kelly is a executive editor and resident techno-optimist who believed that technology at the time was actually going to improve how people work through society. While Patrick Sale believed that is was going to be economies down fall. They made a bet, of 1,000 dollars, that in 25 years that if any of their theories were true that one would receive 2,000 dollars. In the article, Sale cited that, "an economic disaster that would render the dollar worthless, causing a depression worse than the one in 1930; a rebellion of the poor against the monied; and a significant number of environmental catastrophes." Kelly stated the opposite, and believed that technology was not going to interfere with climates change and natural disasters. In 2020 Sale's was in fact wrong and it was ordered that Kelly receive 2,000 dollars. And I agree with the verdict technology has changed in many ways since then and even now. people use technology now to host meetings online, take polls or even transfer money, a lot quicker. In the next 25 years I believe there will be more improvements to technology. I think there will be changes in phones and computers. Like a better way to use them or have easier access to.

How We Are writing Now

Writing letters ,email or text messages are ways to get people a certain message quickly. it provides a way for people to be able to get their point across and express how they feel. but at the same time it can make a person interpret the a message in the wrong way.  I think the technology will improve drastically just such as it has already. For example people went from going to in person meetings to having them meetings straight from their desk at home. People have have pajama pants and a casual shirt on because on camera they only see your chest up. During a crisis it has become is easier for people to communicate through the internet. Especially during a Covid Pandemic . Majority of companies had o switch to the internet order to try to keep their business running. If we didn't have modern technology today we wouldn't be where we are.
